PG & E Sand: What It Is and When You Need It

If you are running a utility trench, the inspector will want the pipe bedded in the right sand. That sand is what most yards call PG & E sand.

What makes it different

It is a fine, screened natural sand, free of rock and organic material, that surrounds and cushions gas and electric lines so nothing sharp presses against the conduit.

Where it is used

Trench bedding and backfill for gas, electric and water lines, plus general utility work where a clean, consistent sand is required.

Order by the ton

We sell it by the ton and deliver across San Joaquin County. Tell us your trench size and we will help you estimate how much you need.
